Lion’s Mane Mushroom Honey Meatloaf Recipe

Good day mushheads! We recently made and cooked one of the most delicious things we’ve created in our lives: Lion’s Mane Honey Glazed Meat Loaf.


1/4 lb chopped bacon

1 cup of chopped onions

3 cloves of garlic, peeled and chopped

1/4 cup Milk

1/4 cup sour cream or plain yogurt

Two large eggs

Two tablespoons dried mustard

Two teaspoons of salt

3/4 teaspoon of thyme

1 teasponn worcestershire sauce

1/2 teaspoon fresh ground pepper

Dash of hot sauce

2 lbs ground beef

1 lb ground sausage

1/2 cup lion’s mane mushroom powder

1/2 cup chopped parsley

1/4 cup Guided By Mushrooms Lion’s Mane Honey

2 tablespoons dijon mustard


Saute bacon brown, but not crisp for about eight minutes. Place on paper towel to dry and set aside.

Sautee chopped onions and garlic in bacon grease for approximately 10 minutes, until softened.

Pre-heat oven to 375 degrees

Add milk to bowl along with sour cream, eggs, dried mustard, salt, thyme, worcestershire sauce, pepper, and a splash of hot sauce. Whisk.

Add ground beef, pork and sauce together and mix thoroughly.

Add the cooked onions, bacon, lion’s mane powder and parsley and mix thoroughly.

Add dijon mustard to lion’s mane mushroom honey and mix well.

Add meatloaf mix to bread pan

Baste meat loaf with lion’s mane mushroom / dijon mustard mix and baste the entire loaf with the mix.

Bake for 1 hour, 20 minutes at 375 degrees.
