12 lb. Bag of Master’s Mix 50/50 Hardwood – Soybean Hull Mix

Master’s Mix in dry pellet form! This 12 pound bag will make approximately 25 lbs pounds of master’s mix once hydrated to 60% moisture. That’s enough for 5 five-pound blocks!

Master’s Mix is the industry standard blend for commercial growers of gourmet and medicinal wood-loving mushrooms. It supports fast colonization times with large yields at high biological efficiencies, and works terrifically for almost all species of gourmet and wood-loving mushrooms.

It is composed of a 50/50 blend of soybean hulls and hardwood sawdust. Both are in pellet form, but will expand after water is added. Hot water will result in much faster expansion than cold water, and can be done directly in the bags.

For a 5 lb block, add 2 lbs of the dry pellets, along with 1.4 L (1400 grams / 3 lbs) of water, and allow to expand. After it has expanded, fold over the top of the bag, and sterilize in a pressure cooker or autoclave.
